I spoke today at TOC09, about how to assess the activities that spring from having read a book and how to build an application that harnesses the content that flows from this activity. My slides are on slideshare Long tail needs community, Chad Capellman wrote some great summary notes about the talk.
I think the talk went quite well. My goal was moving the focus for publisher from encouraging reaction to the book to encouraging the reaction and activity that stems from actually reading the book. Anecdotal feedback shows that I got that message across.
